Hard luck to the U12 camogie girls loosing out to Oulart/The Ballagh this evening in Oulart 7-4 to 4-4, after a fantastic game despite the final scoreline

On a warm sunny evening Ailis Neville opened the scoring with a goal, with a fine handpass from Andrea Fielding, our forwards kept Oulart/The Ballagh backs under pressure, Ailis Neville caught a fine ball from Lauren Murphy, scoring a point.  In the tenth minute Oulart scored a goal, with our backs under pressure, Hannah Hearne made some lovely saves, helping her out in the backline was Aoibhe Murphy, Abbie Devereux and Caitriona Kinsella.  Ailis Neville followed with another point after twelve minutes.  Oulart-The Ballagh retaliated with a quick point and then a goal.  Aoife Doyle went on for Murphy, Becky Halligan went on for Byrne and Ciara Banville went on for Fielding.  After great passing from team mates,  Lauren Murphy finished the first half with two fine goals, leaving the half time score 3-2 to 2-2 to the Ibars.  Oulart opened the second half with a point from a ’30, followed by a goal.  Ailis scored a fine point from a free leaving both teams level, Oulart followed with a further two goals, one from a ’30.  Fielding went back on for Halligan, Ibars girls put the pressure on Oulart backs, with Andrea Fielding tightening the gap scoring a goal, in the eighteenth minute, and Caitlin scored a fantastic point, leaving only two pointsl between the teams.  With five minutes to go Oulart finished the scoring with two goals and a point, leaving the final score 7-4 to 4-4.  Well done girls on a fine display of camogie.
