Shelmalier U21 Hurlers beat Ferns St. Aidans, in Ferns to make the county final for the second year in a row.
Shelmaliers never looked in danger from the off and cruised to the final in style on a scoreline 5-15 to -14.
Goals from Tommy Barron and Ronan Kavanagh in the first half and Feargal Hynes and Conor Byrne (penalty) in the second half, sealed victory for the Shels.
Shelmaliers lost influential mid fielder Ciaran O’ Shuaghnessy during the course of the game with a ham string injury and it is hoped he will be fit for next Monday’s final in Patrick’s Park at 7.30 PM.
Best on the night were Captain Tommy Barron who turned in a man of the match performance, Brian (Turf) Murphy in goal together with Conor Byrne and Brian Doyle.
