Our 3rd team lost to a strong Clongeen 2nd string Friday night in Grantstown. Final score 2-14 to 0-6.
The Shels were missing some key men but put in a spirited effort despite only having 15 players. The conditions were not good on the day and the wet ball might have been a factor in a couple of missed goal chances by the Shels which if they were converted would have led to a healthier score line.
The big positive for the Shels were that three of our minors, Shane Griffith, Sean Walsh and Kevin O’Leary played and showed that the club has a very promising future.
