Dylan forces draw in U12 Hurling

U-12 hurling Championship v Craanford Tues June 2nd.  The Shelmaliers under 12 Hurlers played host to Craanford  in Hollymount on Tuesday last.

The Shelmaliers under 12 Hurlers played host to Craanford
in Hollymount on Tuesday last. The Shels started much the
stronger and ran into an early 1 01 to 0 00 lead with the
goal coming from Dylan Potter. Craanford then started to
come into it more but this brought the best out of backs
most notably Jody Donohoe, Aaron O Neill and John Walker.
There was very little in it for the remainder of the first
half and with the help of a Nathan Murphy goal the Shels
  led 2 04 to 1 04 at half time.
Craanford came out of the blocks very fast in the second
half and went into the lead midway through the half. At
this stage our forwards had to fight for everything as
Craanford were having the majority of the ball. Craanford
led by 3 points with a minute to go. Our boys never gave
up the fight and with the last puck of the game Dylan
Potter got the ball and hit an unstoppable shot to the
roof of the net for a very well deserved draw.

Paul McCleane in goal was outstanding on the night as were
Jody Donohoe and Aaron O’ Neill in the backs. Conor Hearne
and Dylan Potter excelled in midfield and in the forwards
Liam Rochett, Craig Parker and Dan Campbell all gave 100%.

  Final Score Shels 3 05 Craanford 2 08.
