The minor hurlers had a narrow win over St Annes in Hollymount on Thursday evening to give them three wins from three games.
Goals from Ronan Kavanagh and Joe Kelly gave the lads an interval lead 2-11 to 1-07, but the Annes fought back well to leave a final score of 2-16 to 1-17 to the Shels. Best on the night were Noel Mythen, Aidan Cash, Aaron Watters and Connor Byrne in defence, Chris Wall at midfield and Ronan Kavanagh in attack while Shane Griffith, Stuart Lacey and Fergal Hynes acquitted themselves well when introduced as substitutes.
