Shelmaliers come back strongly in second half
The Shelmaliers B Footballers drew with St Annes on an identical score line of 1-9 each in the first round of the Premier C League played on Hollymount on Monday last. When you consider that this was St. Annes first team in the league it was a great opening in the league for our B footballers. Playing against the wind in the first half the Shels matched St.Annes in every facet of the game and showed some fast combination football, the black and amber side went in at half time trailing by three points. With the assistance of the wind in the second half the Shels put in some excellent play, showing a real team spirit in all of their moves. There were some great performances from Colm Tynan, Ciaran O Shaughnessy, James Murphy, Brian O Shaughnessy Dessie Kehoe, Vinnie Parker and Mark Tobin, but to mention a few.
