Brian Malone and Terry Gainfort first ever selections for Shels on Purple & Gold Football Team
Shelmalier Football team added to their wonderful year when 3 of the successful Intermediate team were honoured at the Purple & Gold awards held last week.
Brian Malone (Oldtown) who narrowly missed out on the Footballer of the year award, was selected for the Purple & Gold team at mid field and Terry Gainfort's (Oldtown)prolific scoring earned him selection at left corner forward.
With David Walsh (Poulsac) being selected as a substitiute on this prestigious team, it is a fitting reward for three players who helped move the Shelmaliers from Intermediate up to Senior Rank for the first time in the club's history.
