A number of local groups win awards.
Council Environmental Awards
Castlebridge were well represented at the awards ceremony which were held in the Ferrycarraig Hotel last week.St.Ibars NSproudly received their framed certificate for their hard work to obtain their green flag.Ms. Cullen,Enda Cloake Jonathan Smith attended the ceremony.2nd overall prize in the county for the best kept housing estate went to Rectory Hall.1st prize for the best community innitiave went to Castlebridge Community Centre.The committee received a prize of 400 euro and a plaque.Well done to all involved.
The other groups from Castlebridge,the Tidy Towns and Foxborough Residents received Spring bulbs and a voucher for 30 euro.Many thanks to Wexford Co Council.
Petmania comes to Curracloe National School
Snakes tarantulas and bearded dragons were some of the new pupils at Curracloe School last week.Petmania paid a visit bringing with them the cute and cuddly the hairy and eight legged and even the not at all slimy no legged.Declan Anna and Mick from Petmania volunteered their time to teach the pupils pet care and to introduce them to some traditional and novel pets.The teachers and children were delighted to get the chance to see and pet the creatures,not the tarantulas though
