Shelmalier U16 had first win of the season with this local derby match with Neighbours Crossabeg/ Ballymurn
Under 16 League Championship Shelmalier v Crossabeg/Ballymurn.
This was the first game for our U-16 team since the break for exams and having been defeated by Crossabeg/Ballymurn, St. James and Ballygarrett in their first round games.
The U-16 management and players were thrilled to have their first win when they defeated Crossabeg/Ballymurn 5-05 to 2-05. In their previous games the U16's were unlucky not to capitalise on possesion and convert them to scores battleing galantly throughout.
Half time score saw Shelmalier lead by 2-2 to Crossabeg/Ballymurn 0-0. In the second half Shels scored an additional 2-3 while crossabeg/ Ballymurn taggged on 2-1.
Shelmalier now play St. James in Mersheen on Wednesday 1st August and hopefully they will be able to build on this local derby victory and put back to back Successes tgether.
