Shelmalier U14 team continued there winning ways by defeating Ballyhogue in Hollymount on Thursday night last on a scoreline of 3-9 to 1-5. Games between these two sides have always produced exciting and competitive matches. Indeed it was Ballyhogue that Shels defeated to win the U14 county Feile title.
Shelmalier started the bighter in the first half taking advantage of all scoring opportunities presented to them, while Ballyhogue failed to put the ball over the bar for the first half. Great credit must go to the Shelmalier defence who worked hard to snuff out any opportunities for Ballyhogue, with Shauna Murphy marshalling Ballyhogues danger lady Anne Maire Kane.

In the second half Shelmalier scored 1-2 while Ballyhogue laid siege to the Shelmalier goal scoring a total of 1-5.
Lil Roche Shelmalier Goal keeper who injured her shoulder had to be replaced by Aine Lacey for the last 10 mins of the game.
No doubt this will not be the last time that these two teams meet this year in the championship going on present form. The next meeting will be eagerly awaited.
