The clubs under 10 hurlers play "Hurling on the Quay"

Under 10 hurlers make history.

The Shelmalier club was honoured to be invited to take part in the Under 10 boys Go Games hurling exhibition which took place on the Quay in Wexford on Saturday 2nd June. These young stars of the future were history breakers as this was the first time the game of hurling was played in this unique location and it has to be said that it was a great success for players, team management, parents and the large number of spectators who took time out to watch the players in action. The idea of this event was to promote hurling as an exciting and fun game and to ensure that ALL children played an active part in the games. Best for the black and amber on the day were Daniel Campbell, Nathan Murphy and Cian Manley. The club would like to extend their thanks to George O Connor and all the County Squad who made this event such a success and to all our fellow clubs and players who ensured the game of hurling will live on for many generations to come.
