SOUTH EAST RADIO INTERVIEW
Congratulations to the boys & girls from Castlebridge National School who were interviewed on South East Radio in relation to the Green Flag Award. Well done to each and everyone who spoke so eloquently and knowledgeably on this important subject. Those who were interviewed were Frank Kelly (4th Class ) Megan O'Malley (6th Class ) Jonathan Smith (5th Class) Hannah Scully (2nd Class) Ali Murphy (6th Class) Enda Cloake (3rd Class) and Barry Oliver (4th Class)
PUBLIC MEETING
A Public Meeting of Senior Citizens and concerned parishioners will take place in the Community Centre, Castlebridge, on Friday night next, June 29th at 8pm. All are welcome and transport will be provided if necessary.
BOCCE COURTS OPEN
A reminder that the official opening of the Bocce Courts in Castlebridge will take place this evening ( Wednesday, 27th June) at 8pm. Refreshments served from 7.30pm. All are most welcome.
OPEN MEETING
Castlebridge Community Centre Committee will hold an open meeting on Monday 9th July in the Community Centre at 8pm. All are welcome. The Health and Safety Statement will be available on the night.
COMMUNITY GAMES
Castlebridge/Crossabeg Community Games enjoyed much success at the County Community Games athletic finals held in Piercestown on Saturday last. They took home a total of 35 medals, the best-ever results to date. 4 youngsters are also going forward to represent Wexford at the National Finals in Mosney in August, namely Emma Kavanagh ( 100M U16) Tony Smith (U12 Ball Throw) Conor Devereux ( U14 Hurdles) and Andrew Butler (U14 Shot Putt) as well as the girls under 16 Relay team of Emma Kavanagh, Sarah Shovlin, Sorcha O`Rourke and Julie Butler. Thanks to all who helped out in any way in preparation for the events and on the day of the competition. Hard luck to the under 15 boys Handballers who lost out to Kilkenny in Round 2 of the Leinster Games on Friday night last. Grateful thanks to Brian Murphy who looked after the team throughout the competition.
