Shelmaliers try hard against Oulart in Hollymount.
Hollymount was packed on Saturday evening last, 20th April for the eagerly awaited Senior Hurling League match between the local team and Oulart the Ballagh with the final score going in favour of the visitors by 1-13 to 0-8. In a low scoring first half the Shelmaliers were unlucky to go in at half time 3 points in arrears after missing some scorable frees and having Ibar Murphy dismissed after 10 minutes for 2nd yellow card . Tommy Barron and Colm Kehoe were the scorers for the Shels in this half. The home defence played with great determination in the second half and was unlucky to concede a goal after 10 when a ball deflected off a hurley against the run of play. They also missed 2 great goal chances when one ball hit the post and another was saved for a 65. Second half scorers for the Shels were Chris McGrath 0-4 and David Walsh 0-1.
