Our under 14 footballers will take part in the Annual Feile Peil competition on Monday next 19th March in Killuran, with Glynn Barntown, St. Martins and the Sarsfields providing the opposition. The winners of this competition will have the honour of representing Wexford in the national Feile na nGael competition. Please check the local press for details of times of the matches.

A Race Night will take place in Hotel Curracloe on Friday night next 16th March starting at 8pm. The proceedings of this Race Night will go towards the expenses of sending our Jim Byrne team to London during the Easter Weekend. All members and parents are asked to give it your support.

The strong link which has existed between the Shelmalier GAA Club and Fr. Murphys GAA Club London continues with the appointment of two Shels men at the helm of the London club. At their recent AGM David Donohoe Curracloe was elected Chairman and Josie Murphy Castlebridge was elected Vice Chairman for the coming year. Another Wexford Paddy Doyle from Rathnure was elected Treasurer at the same meeting. We wish all these Wexford men every success for the coming year and complement them in promoting Gaelic games in the Capital.

All managers are again reminded to return details of their team secretaries and selectors for 2007 to the club PROs as soon as possible. Match reports and other details for the Coiste na nOg section of the club should be sent in future to the new Coiste na nOg Aidan Foley by email at shelmaliergaaclub@eircom.net or by the official match report form which can be obtained from Aidan.

The Junior footballers visited Rosslare on Sunday and came away with a 3-8 to 1-5 victory over a fancied home side. Mark Tobin again lead the way when contributing 2-5 to the overall score, he was assisted on the scoreboard by Colm Redmond 0-2, Mick Kelly 1-0, Seamie Harding 0-1. Apart from the goal scorers others to shine were Denis Kelly, Barry O Connor and Graham Lawlor.

There were no winners of the club lotto last week which stood at €14,600. However, the match 3 winners were Isobel Mahon, Nancy Hynes, Myles Doyle, Gordan Griffith, Bones Furlong, Mary B McClannan and Anne Marie Howlin, when each received €28. The club encourages people to support this lotto and perhaps win this weeks prize of €14,800.
