Full time score: (Shels)  0-12             (Opp.)  2-11

With the memory of the Castletown game still in their minds, the Shelmaliers put in a much improved performance against Bunclody. The teams played a similar style of football. David and Mark Walsh were excellent in the half-back line with Graham Power, Alan Griffith and Derek Walsh excelling in the forwards. Colin Redmond played an excellent game when moved from corner back to mid-field. The real difference in the end was that the Shels forwards failed to convert two goal chances and were happy to take two points instead.
