Under 12 Footballers win in Monagear.

the Coiste Na Nog league.

ball rolling for our lads with a couple of early points. Monagear responded with 2 points before
a point from Craig Parker and two from Liam Rockett put the boys back in front. Further points
from Jordan Hunt and Craig Parker left the score at Shels 0 07 Monagear 0.02 but a last minute
goal from the home team meant we went in at half time leading by just two points. The Shels
boys started the second half really strong with a goal from Kyle Roche followed by two points
from Michael O Rourke. Points from Nathan Murphy(2), Michael O Rourke and Conor Hearne
put the lads into a commanding lead. A goal and a point from Monagear brought them a bit
closer before Michael O Rourke hit the back of the net for the Shels. Shane Pierce(2) and Chris
Cowman finished the scoring for our boys with points before a late goal from Monagear left
the final scoreline Shels 2 15 Monagear 3 05.

Comfortable wins for Under 12 Footballers

Our under 12 footballers made the long trip to Kilanerin last Tuesday evening to face
Ballinstragh Gaels in the Coiste Na Nog league.

As usual it was two games of eleven

In the first game our boys dominated from the start and went in at half time in a very
comfortable lead thanks mainly to some great work from Sean Reidy and Alex Ryan
in the backs, Shane Pierce and Seamus R. John in midfield and Kevin Harte and Jamie
Furlong in the forwards. The second half was still very one sided with Stuart Fanning
kicking over some lovely points and Niall Hearne raising the green flag on a couple of
occasions. It was an excellent team performance with the Shels boys running out easy
winners in the end.
The second game was also a comfortable win for our lads with some very good performances
from some of the lads. Nathan Murphy was top scorer with a total of 4.08 while James
Doyle raised the green flag on three occasions. Aaron O Neill and Mark Power gave
