The second meeting between the Shelmaliers and Faythe Harriers was also played in Wexford Park on Saturday last.
The sides met in the Junior hurling championship match. which the Wexford town won on a final score line of 2-12 to 0-13. The Shelmalier side got off to a great start with Johnny Campbell (1) and Conor Byrne (4) pointing to give their side a three point advantage by the 10 minute of play. The Harries regained to lead with a goal in the 15 minute and they went on to lead by 1-6 to 0-6 at half time. A second goal followed on the resumption with the Shelmaliers replying with four further points from free taker Conor Byrne to leave two goals 2-9 to 0-9 after the third quarter of play. Conor Byrne and Michael Feeney completed the Shelmalier scoring in the second half to leave a final score of Shelmaliers 0-13 Faythe Harriers 2-12.
