Senior Hurling V Shamrocks

Shels have some to spare versus Shamrocks

After the disappointment of the previous Saturdays narrow defeat to Oulart/Ballagh the Shelmalier senior hurlers got back in the winning way with a convincing 2-17 to 0-7 victory over Shamrocks played in Oylegate on Sunday evening last. The Enniscorthy side was quick off the mark and had three points on the scoreboard before Joe Kelly pointed his side’s first point in the 8th minute. However, once the Shelmaliers got going they were in commanding form with first half scores coming from Joe Kelly, Ciaran O Shaughnessy, Eoin Doyle, Brian Doyle and Simon Donohoe, to leave a half time score of Shelmaliers 1-12 Shamrocks 0-4. The second half continued in the same fashion with James Cash scoring his sides second goal after 3 minutes of the restart with Stephen Banville and Joe Kelly contributing the other scores of the second half.
