U14 camogie league

A great victory over Glynn/Barntown yesterday evening 6-0 to 3-1

Well done to the girls on their great win, on a lovely sunny evening in Hollymount Sarah Harding-Kenny got us off to a great start with a goal in the fourth minute, Glynn/Barntown followed with a point and in the nineth minute Mikaela Lanigan rattled the net, while Ibars had a lot of the play in the first half they missed some good scoring chances, Glynn/Barntown got another goal, leaving the scores at half-time 2-0 to 1-1.

Glynn/Barntown began the second half with a quick goal just one minute after play began, our girls put the pressure back on with Lauren Murphy scoring a goal from a ’30, quickly followed by another goal which seemed to be an own goal, as all forwards had pushed in on the goal mouth.  Glynn/Barntown quickly struck back with another goal, Abbie Devereux in goal made some fantastic saves, who knows we may have found a new goalie!!  The Ibars girls showed their determination before the final whistle blew to concede another two goals, one from Lauren Murphy and one from Ailis Neville.  Well done Ibars girls on a great display and team work.
