Minors beaten by Rapparees

The Shels minors had a frustrating afternoon yesterday in Bellefield against the Rapparee’s.

The boys started well scoring some nice points from play. At half time we led by 6 points to 5.

In the second half the boys started well but after about 10 minutes the Rapp’s got the first of three goals. The lads responded well and put the pressure on, but unfortunately upfront we couldn’t find the net. The Rapp’s went on to score two more goals which ended the match as a contest.

Best on the day Aaron O’Neill and Cian Manley.

The lads have done ok so far at premier grade but need to move things up a gear if they are to make the semi’s. Next match is 30th April against Rathnure.
