U14 advance to Championship Final

Well done to the U14 camogie girls who now advance to the Championship Final Roinn 1, after a fantastic win over Fethard yesterday 2-15 to 0-2

Ibars opened the scoring with a point from Jessie in the first minute, followed in the second minute with another fantastic point from Jessie, there was no stopping Jessie and she followed with her third point in the seventh minute.  The Ibars kept the pressure on Fethard defence with fine handpassing and team work.  Our first goal by Eleanor came from a lovely handpass from speedy Fiona after a solo run.  Jessie scored a further five points three from frees.  Fethard tried hard to get by our half defence line, but each time the ball was cleared by Molly Larah or Megan.  Our second goal came from Mikaela after a pass from Lauren, with two points from Zoe, one free, Siobhan completed the first half scoring with another point, leaving a 2-11 to 0-0 at half time.  The second half resumed with Julia Halpin for Lanigan and Aoife Fielding for Murphy.  The first score of the second half came from Siobhan.  Thea Kehoe for Lacey and Jenny Murphy for Byrne.  Zoe converted a free to a point.  Caitlin Carroll for McCarthy, Amy Murphy for Harding and Mikaela Lanigan for Halpin injured.  Zoe competed the scoring with two further points one free.  Mentors Mick John and Mary were thrilled with the girls performance, and they look forward to the Final provisionally booked for 7 September (to be confirmed)
