Third successive co league victory

For our Slaney winning Under 14 camogie girls, when they recorded a third successive county league victory away to Oylegate/Glenbrien on Wednesday, 15th May 9-3 to 3-1.

Oylegate/Glenbrien started strong getting a quick goal, while Zoe O’Leary equalised from a free, our rivals rattled the net again in the tenth minute.  The Ibars girls settled down, with the talented Jessie Harding scoring four goals, while Zoe chipped in her points with a half time score of 5-2 to 2-0.  Although our rivals were favoured on the re-start, Ibars maintained control to run out convincing 9-3 to 3-1, with Jessie Harding raising an amazing seven flags in total while substitute Lauren Murphy also grabbed a goal.  Team as follows:  Ailis Neville, Anna Whelan, Sadbh McCarthy, Eleanor Lacey, Chloe Mythen, Larah Campbell, Jennifer Murphy, Zoe O’Leary (captain 1-3, 1-1 frees, 0-1 45), Sarah Harding Kenny, Fiona Kinsella, Jessie Harding (7-0), Siobhan Doolan, Thea Kehoe, Mikaela Lanigan, Julia Halpin.  Subs:  Megan Scallan for Murphy, Lauren Murphy (1-0) for Kehoe, Ellie Daly for Halpin, Amy Murphy for Lacey, Caitlin Malone for Harding, Caitlin Carroll for Mythen.  Well done to the girls and their mentors Mick Lanigan, John Harding and Mary O’Leary.
