Presentation to 3 National Schools

camogieSome of our committee members paid a visit to their training session in Hollymount to let the players know that the club is very appreciative of their efforts.

Ciara Donohoe, our Senior team captain, praised the girls & expressed the hope that one day she will get the chance to play with them for the Ibar’s.

We also availed of the opportunity to make a small presentation to our three national schools (see picture attached). Each school received three helmets (two blue and one pink!) which we hope will be helpful in assisting girls who might like to try camogie but haven’t got all of the playing gear. We also presented copies of our history book for use in each school library, so any pupil wanting to read about our club or perhaps do a project will now have all of the information at their fingertips.

The three schools were represented by Ed Lyons (Castlebridge), Pat Hackett (Curracloe), Pamela Murphy and Anne Dempsey (Screen). Also in attendance was team trainer Amanda Bolger (Castlebridge) who is doing great work in preparing the girls with assistance from Mary Kavanagh.
