Great performance by junior hurlers

Conceding an early goal in the 3rd minute did not stop the Shelmalier Junior hurlers overcoming Geraldine O’Hanrahans by 6-24 to 2-8 in the 2nd round of the championship played in Pairc Charman on Sun evening.

The Shelmaliers also had outstanding defenders in William Redmond, Stephen Whelan, Darren Malone, Denis Kelly and Cathal Gaule.
The Shelmaliers continued their scoring spree in the second half with many of the fore mentioned forwards continuing their efforts together with subs Chris Gordon, Stephen Corrigan, James Cash and Philip Walsh making a big impact when introduced.
