Calling on all former players with St Ibars/Shelmaliers, the Club’s first ever 12 hour camog-athon is taking place in Hollymount on Bank Holiday Monday, 1st June from 7 am – 7 pm to raise funds for development work.
The highlight of the day will occur at 4 pm, when we will hold a ‘Legends’ competition featuring past players from all eras who are returning to the playing fields for a bit of craic. We have contacted many players and the response has been fantastic. However, it’s impossible to get around to everyone so please accept this as an open invitation, we want to see as many past players as possilbe on Monday, 1st June at 4 pm! Funds are being raised through sponsorship of the event, and if you want a card please contact Fionnuala Hearne 087 2431891. This is a great way to meet your former team-mates, so come along and have a day to remember!
Also at 5.30pm, what area has the best camogie players in the parish? All will be revealed, when the Club’s first ever 12 hour concludes with a schools challenge. Four teams will be assembled: past pupils from Screen NS, Castlebridge NS and Curracloe NS, plus the blow-ins who could be the dark horses! This event is open to players of all ages past and present and is guaranteed to be a laugh a minute as the teams could potentially feature players from the age of six to 60+! An event not to be missed!
