Shels were dominant for the first half and with points from Brian O’Connor, Neal Rossiter and Adrian Veale meant they had a good 3 point lead at half time in this relatively low scoring game. However despite Shels drawing first blood in the new half, a penalty converted brought St. Joseph’s right back into the game. Sean Byrne had several good saves in the course of the match and indeed the defence whilst busy, were on top for the majority of the game. The sides were level heading into the last 3 mins, but a late rally from St. Joseph’s meant they finished victors 1-08 to 1-06. Shels were well served by Chris Gordon, Adrian Veale, Eoghan Fitzgerald, Eoghan Nolan, Barry O’Connor. & Liam Donnolly.
