St. Peters College win Leinster League

petersSt. Peters College captured the South Leinster Senior Football League Final today beating Good Counsel, New Ross after extra time on a score line1-14 to 2-08. Shelmaliers were well represented as Curracloe man Simon Donohoe captained the side and held the full back position excellently.

The pivotal role of centre back was ably manned by Eoghan Nolan, Ardcavan; Galbally man Graham Staples was staunch in defence at wing back, whilst Kevin O’Connor, Garrylough was influential at corner forward. Stephen Carr from Castlebridge was also on the team and Brian Malone, Oldtown, Castlebridge was one of the managers. Well done to you all.
