It’s a great honour for me to captain of the Shelmalier minor football team in this county final here today. This is a team of great dedicated sportsmen who have grown up and developed our skills together. Over the years as a team we have shared both the joys of winning and the agony of losing and I believe we are all the stronger as individuals because of sharing these experiences. I would like to complement my fellow team mates for the hard work they have always give to training and matches. I would also like to thank all our selectors and coaches for what they have given to the team not only this year but for the many joyful years we have spent in the Shelmalier GAA club..
