Coiste Chairmans Address re Minor Final

On behalf of the many people who help to organise and run Shelmalier Coiste na nOg and the Shelmalier GAA Club I would like to welcome you to Wexford Park for both the minor and senior football finals.

It’s a great honour for any player to be given an opportunity to represent their club and parish in a county final and they carry with them the pride and hopes of all the people that live within the parish boundaries.  The minor grade is very important as it represents the stepping stone from the underage to the senior ranks and it’s possibly a reflection of the future prospects and growth in the club. It is also recognition of the many years of hard work and committee of not only this group of players but also the work of the many coaches and selectors in the Shelmalier club who have worked with this team. We must also recognise the commitment of all the coaches and selectors in the club who continue to mould and develop future sportspersons in the club.

I would also like to thank our parents and supports who continue to support the club in many different ways and ensure we have a very active and vibrant sporting and social environment in Hollymount

I would also like to thank our many sponsors who give grate support to the club during the year without such support the club would be unable to operate.

I would also like to thank my fellow officers in Shelmalier Coiste na nOg GAA Club and all the officers in Wexford Coiste na nOg for their excellent work and commitment to the game, by ensuring that all our games are organised and properly run during the year.

On behalf of everybody associated with our club I hope we have a great sporting match where the skills of the game and sportsmanship are equally displayed by all concerned.

Noel Feeney.

Chairman Shelmalier Coiste na nOg.
