Kilmacud camogie sevens

A squad of ten Seniors had an enjoyable day at the 39th Annual Kilmacud sevens on Saturday (15th Sept).

Based in Silverpark, the best result was in the first game when Na Fianna (Dublin) were beaten by 9-3 to nil, with Michelle Harding selected by the hosts as Player of the Match.  However, losses followed by Clonoulty-Rossmore of Tipperary (2-4 to 1-1), St Thomas’ of Galway (4-4 to 1-0) and Ballycastle of Antrim (4-4 to 2-1), although there was still lots of craic in true sevens fashion.  The players were accompanied by Mentors Alan Aherne, John Furlong, Fionnuala Hearne and John Kelly.  Panel (with combined scores):  Mary Cullen, Leona Tector, Maeve Quill, Ciara Donohoe (1-2), Deirdre McMahon (1-1), Michelle Harding (capt 2-0), Aine Lacey (5-1), Lisa Quill, Niamh Potter, Anne-Marie Kelly (4-1).

We look forward to the County Final on Saturday, 29th September, at 4 pm in Bellefield, against Oulart/The Ballagh.
