Walking Club Meeting

On behalf of the Shelmalier Walking Club I am delighted to invite you to our special talk entitled ‘Walking is for everybody’ which will take place at the GAA complex in Hollymount on Wednesday next 12th October 2011 from 7-9 pm.

The talk will be given by Mr Frank Fahy consultant in recreational activity, who will speak on the benefits of walking for all and outline how the Shelmalier Walking Club can cater for the various needs of all its members as it moves forward in the future.  We are also delighted to tell you that the Shelmalier GAA Club will facilitate insurance cover for the walking club members this year at a much reduced cost.

As we celebrate our first anniversary I am delighted to report that membership has grown steadily over the last 12 months. However, it is also an appropriate time to reflect and review the club’s activities during the past 12 months. During this review process the thoughts and opinions of all our members is crucial in determining ‘what you want from the Shelmalier Walking Club in the coming year’. If you haven’t been an active member of the club in recent months we are especially interested in hearing from you, as we attempt to develop new walking programmes.  Frank Fahy in his talk will address many of these issues and therefore it is very important that you attend this meeting so your voice can be heard.

If you cannot make the talk but you are interested in putting forward your opinions please mail any ideas to Eimer O’ Leary Garrylough, Castlebridge Co. Wexford.

We look forward to seeing on the night.  Light refreshment will be served afterwards.
