The match started at a frantic pace with both teams evenly matched in the first quarter. Star of the show for the Shels boys at this stage was Stephen Rossiter who was giving the Harriers full back plenty to think about. The scores were level at Shels 0.04 Harriers 1.01 after 15 mins. Two opportunist goals from the Harriers gave them a cushion at half time of five points with Shels only reply a point from Jody Donohoe. The second half was only two minutes old when the home team struck for another goal but this was quickly followed by points from Nathan Murphy and Stephen Rossiter for the Shels boys. Two quick fire goals from Dan Campbell and Nathan Murphy brought our lads back into the game but it wasn’t enough as the Harriers ran out winners on a scoreline of Harriers 5.02 Shels 2.06. Best on the night for the over the water boys were Aaron O Neill, Craig Parker, Joe Redmond, Nathan Murphy, Stephen Rossiter and Kyle Roche.
