In the first half the Shels did very well in defence and mid-field but the final ball that they delivered to the forwards let them down and resulted in a lot of wasted chances.
In the second half Niall and Chris swapped positions and this greatly improved the Shels attack. Scores by Brian Kirwan, Niall Stafford and Gary Bridges put the Shels in a good position. But with 10 minutes to go, Castletown hit a purple patch and got four clear shots on goal. Graham Lawler made two excellent saves, but Castletown got two goals which was the difference between the teams in the end.
