Hurlers account for St. Annes

Shels senior hurlers had a 3 point victory over St. Annes in the league in Hollymount Friday night last.

Shels were the slower to start and despite a fair standard of hurling they went into the break 5 points down.  However it was a different team in the second half where they overturned the deficit to win by 3 points. A strong overall team performance in the second half, with Brian Tobin corner back, James Gordon wing back, Ciaran O’ Shaughnessy, mid field being amongst those to shine. Ronan Kavanagh did very well when introduced. Final score 2-8 to 0-17.
