The u14 girls played another round of the league on Monday 23rd May 2011 against Cloughbawn in Hollymount.  Final score:  St.Ibars/Shelmaliers CC 3- 3 to Cloughbawn 1-1.

The girls lined out in the absence of some of the teams key players.   This put pressure on the team and it proved to be a though battle.  A number of girls were re-positioned on the team, which seemed to have a positive effect and the girls done very well in their new positions. The game started with the Ibars opening with a goal and a point from Shauna Kelly.  Cloughbawn pushed for scores but the back line held them to only 1 point in the first half.  In the second half the Ibars girls got a foot hold on the game and finished on a score line of 3-3 to 1-1.
Scores – Shauna Kelly 1-2, Lara Campbell 1-0, Jessica Sinnott 1-1

In the under U14’s League each team must play each other home and away St.Ibars faced Glynn Barntown again however this time it was on home soil.  The played on Wednesday the 25th of May  Final score St.Ibars/Shelmaliers 2-2 to Glynn/Barntown 3-3. This was a keenly contested game as both teams had met in Glynn only a week previous.  Again Glynn started the game stronger with the opening scores of 2 early goals however the Ibars girls responded and Leanne Corrigan was at the end of a well worked move and scored a goal.  This was followed by a point from Niamh Walsh. Glynn/Barntown however fought back and before the break scored another 1-2 this left the scoreline Glynn 3-2 – St Ibars 1-1.  We had a great display of camogie from both sides in this game. The St Ibars back line held Glynn to just one score in the second half while the Ibars could unfortunately  only score another 1-1 in the second half which again saw Glynn/Barntown taking the honours on the night. The girls can take great heart from this performance as from the first night these two teams met the winning margin was reduced from 2-2 to 1-1.   Scores: Niamh Walsh 1-1, Leanne Corrigan 1-0, Jessica Sinnott 0.1.
