Unfortunately all the scores for the rest of the half came from Bunclody and they lead 0-7 to 1-1 at half time. Brian Tobin was having a good game at half back but unfortunately had to be substituted at half time due to an injury he picked up in the first half.
We continued to chase the game in the second half but were unable to cope with Bunclody’s strong off the ball running. Despite Bunclody’s dominance we were never out of the game and when Brian Murphy scored a cracker of a goal from a 14 yard free we were right back in it. Bunclody however held out and the final score was Bunclody 1 -9 Shelmaliers 2 – 2. The other scorers for the Shels were Mark Tobin and Cormac Smyth 0- 1 point each.
