Under 14 Footballers beat Gusserane.

The Shels under 14 footballers were in action on Thursday last in the championship at home
to Gusserane.

Our boys started very strongly and were soon in front thanks to goals from
Eoin Lambe and Michael Feeney and points from Arnie Murphy and Jody Donohoe.
Another two Eoin Lambe goals and a point from Aodhan Foley left the half time score Shels
4.03 Gusserane 0.04. The visitors started the second half stronger with a couple of points
without reply. Points from Glen Malone and Jody Donohoe meant our lads stayed well in
front and another Michael Feeney goal finished the game as a contest. The final score of the
night from our lads came courtesy of an Arnie Murphy point. Gusserane scored two late
goals to leave the final scoreline Shelmaliers 5.07 Gusserane 2.08. Shane Carter and Cian
Manley were superb at the back for our lads as were Brian Keogh and Niall Cash in
midfield. The best of the forwards were Eoin Lambe, Michael Feeney, Arnie Murphy and
Glen Malone.
