U21 Hurlers lose to district rivals Glynn

Shels despite being 5 points down in the first 15 minutes finished the first half brightly to go into the break 3 points ahead.

A late goal for Glynn together with some fine pointing meant Glynn won out by 3 points.

Shels were heartbreakingly denied a third victory in a row in Wexford Park, last Monday week. We let a 5 point difference go ahead for Glynn but fought hard to go into the break 3 points ahead. A strong work effort, capably led by the strong captain Conor Walsh, was not enough and the older Glynn/Barntown ran out victors 1-13 to 1-10. Scorers for Shels Joe Kelly 0-5,3F, Kevin O’Leary, 1-1, Ronan Kavanagh 0-1, Feargal Hynes 0-1, Conor Walsh 0-1, and Brian Tobin 0-1.
