Victory for under 14 hurlers.

Our under 14 hurlers played  Ballygarret in the championship last Thursday evening
in Hollymount.

The first half was a closely fought affair with the visitors going into
an early two point lead. Our boys responded well with a goal from Michael Feeney
and a point from Daniel Murphy. Ballygarret finished the half stronger and went in at
half time leading 1.05 to 1.03. The first two points of the second half were scored by
the visitors to leave our boys trailing by 4 points. However this was the end of the
scoring from Ballygarret as the Shels boys dominated the remainder of the game.
A goal and a point from Michael Feeney and a point each from Daniel Murphy and
Aodhan Foley rounded off the scoring to leave the Shels boys victorious on a scoreline
of Shels 2.06 Ballygarret 1.07. Best for the Shels on the night were Shane Neville,
Jody Donohoe, Cian Manley and Arnie Murphy.
