Late goal dashes junior Footballers Hopes

The Shels junior football team played Clonard on Saturday the 24th of July in Piercestown in the second round of the championship.
The Shels put up a good display losing on a scoreline of 2-10 to 1-12. With one minute to go the Shels who had fought back from two points down at half time to a two point lead conceded a heart breaking goal in the last minute. Scorers for the shels were Mark Tobin with six points (two from frees), Patrick Murphy one goal, Darren Malone two points, Chris Gordon two points, Joe Kelly one point and Brian Kirwin one point from a free.
