Double win for Under 12 Hurlers

Our under 12 Hurlers played two games against Monageer last week in the Coiste
Na Nog League.

The first game was a closely fought affair  with very little between
the sides. Our boys started the stronger and went into an early lead thanks to a goal
from Nathan Murphy and a couple of points from Conor Hearne. Monageer had the
better of things for the remainder of the first half although the Shels boys still went in
at half time holding a three point lead on a scoreline of 1.03  to 0.03. Monageer started
the second half brightly and were back within a point after 10 mins. Our forwards
really started to hurl well from this point on and thanks to points from Dan Campbell,
Craig Parker, Kyle Roche and Sean Keane ran out winners on a scoreline of Shels
1.07 Monageer 1.04. Best for our lads on the night were Adam Howlin, Aaron O Neill,
Michael O Rourke and Liam Rockett.
In the second game our lads were very impressive and were too strong for the Monageer
boys. With Sean Reidy and Mark Power dominating the back line, and Niall Hearne and
Kevin Harte scoring for fun up front the Shels boys ran out winners on a scoreline of
Shels 8.05 Monageer 3.02.  Apart from the boys already mentioned there were also great
performances from Richard Kinsella, Seamus Ronan John, Jordan Hunt, Shane Pierce,
Jack Murphy and Cillian Tobin.
