First round victory for Castlebridge girls in Rackard League.
The combined girls of Curracloe,Screen and Castlebridge schools travelled to Blackwater and came away with a well deserved 2-0 to 0-0 victory.On a very hard surface the girls played very well to record victory over a good Blackwater team.Well done to the girls and team manager Ann-Marie Hearne.

Castlebridge girls win again in Rackard League
The girls followed their 1st rd with another victory against Rathangan in Hollymount on Thursday.Despite missing four regulars the showed great charactor,skill and depth of squad by winning 2-1 to 0-0.An early goal by Tara Smith was followed by a pointed free by Chloe Mahon.The girls were in control at this stage and were rewarded by a further goal by Tara before half time.We played against a strong in the 2nd half,the girls kept Rathangan scoreless in the 2nd half despite losing team capt Linzi Lanigan to a bad ankle injury.Well done again to Ann-Marie and the girls.

The girls play again next Thursday 13th away to Taghmon were another victory will qualify them a semi-final spot in the competition.Please support our young girls who are doing our schools and parish proud.
