Field Day & Re-enactment match

Sunday 6th June 2010 will be a special day in the history of the Shelmalier GAA Club when as part of the centenary of our brave men’s victory on the 1910 All Ireland hurling final a re-enactment of the final will take place in Hollymount when our neighbours Blackwater will provide the opposition.

With both teams and parishes steeped in the proud tradition of Wexford hurling at the time it is only fitting that these two teams should come together on this important day. Both teams will be dressed in the 1910 attire, using the 1910 style hurleys and will be playing under the 1910 rules. A large range of other attractions will be provided on the day with more details in the future
