1910 All Ireland Re-lived

If you would like to see the first re-enactment of the 1910 of Wexford’s victory All Ireland hurling final in one hundred years, you should make your way to Hollymount on Sunday next 6th June when the Shelmaliers take on Blackwater in full 1910 playing gear and under the 1910 hurling rules.

After months of planning and research the match should be of great interest to not only people from the parish but also from the whole of the ‘Over the Water’ area. The Castlebridge Fife and Drum band will be on hand to lead out the two teams and match commentary will be provided by South East Radio’s very own Liam Spratt. There will also be special appearances by a number of Wexford’s 1996 All Ireland winning team who will assist both teams. People are advised to go early to the match as there is a high level of interest in this unique occasion throughout the county.
