St Ibars U10 Camogie Team beat Glynn Barntown in the U10 Group 2 Final on a score line of 4 goals to 1 goal. The girls attacked from the start and were rewarded with a terrific early goal from Eleanor Lacey. Throughout the first half Zoe O’Leary was an commanding presure at center back, our midfield trio Jessica Hardingm Jennifer Murphy and LAra Campbell were on top. They were well supported by our insife line of Eleanor Lacey, Mikaela  Lanigan and Fiona Kinsella and this pressure lead to out second goal scored by Jessie Harding. Half time score 2 – 0 to nil

Fiona Kinsella moved into goal for the 2nd half with Ailis Neville moving to corner forward our early pressure in the 2nd half lead to out 3rd goal scored from a distance by Jessie Harding. An injury to Zoe O’Leary lead to a change in the team with Mikaela  Lanigan moving from the forwards back to corner back and Sarah Whelan coming on at corner forward.

We were under extreme pressure now from Glynn Barntown which yielded them their first goaland only goal. Excellent defending by our back line o Mikaela Lanigan, Sarah Harding-Kenny, Anna Whelan and gaolie Fiona Kinsella. When at times they put their bodies as well as hurls on the line. Theo Kehoe came on for Eleanor Lacy and shortly afterwards a great through ball was finished to the net by Ailis Neville for our forth goal . Kara Doyle came on for Ailis Neville and shortly after the ref blew the final whistle to wild celebrations from the large St.Ibars supporters.

The cup was presented to Captain Lara Campbell.
