Our under 12 Hurlers made the trip to Monamolin on Monday night last and came away with a well deserved win after a very enjoyable game.
The Shels went into an early 0 03 to 0 00 lead thanks to points from Dan Campbell, Conor Hearne and Shane Neville. Buffers Alley had the most of the play for the middle part of the half and were level coming up to half time but two late points from Dylan Potter and Liam Rockett left our lads ahead 0-05 to 0-03 at half time.
The home team made the better start to the second half and went into a two point lead before a goal from Conor Hearne put the Shels back in front. A fine goal by Shane Neville followed by points from Dan Campbell, Nick Whelan and Stephen Rossiter left the Shels deserved winners on a scoreline of 2-08 to 2-04.
Best for the Shels on the night were Peter Doyle, Enda Cloake, Conor Hearne, Liam Rockett and Dylan Potter while Jack Murphy, Cian Manley
and Bill Quaid really impressed when introduced.
