Our Junior Hurlers went down by the smallest of margins in Monamolin last night to Buffers Alley 2nd team.
The two teams were level at half time and a close finish was anticipated at this stage. Buffers Alley were strongest on the resumption and picked off a couple of easy goals, whilst Shels squandered a few chances at this stage. A late free resulted in a goal for Shels, which brought the sides to within one point. However Shels couldn’t grab the elusive equaliser and bowed out of this league semi final. Final score 2-15 to 2-14. Strongest on the night were Fergie Parker at full back, David Cloney and Colin Kehoe in the middle of the field, whilst Des Kehoe and Ronan Kavanagh were in top form in the forwards.
