The senior hurling team had disappointing outing on Saturday last in Monamolin going down by the narrowest of margins to the Duffry Rovers.
The first half was close fought throughout with the score level 1-3 to 0-6 Damian Fitzhenry the goalscorer from a 21yard free. The ground conditions were far from ideal. The Shels started brightly after the break going 2 pts in front but were again pegged back by a goal by Fitzy from the 21.The Duffry were 3 pts to the good with 7mins remaining but a hectic finish by the lads yielded only 2pts when goal opportunities were available. All this while playing with a man down following a dismissal half way through the second half.
