The Shelmalier Senior Hurlers went out of the Leinster league at the Q-Final stage to a very good Dicksboro side on Wednesday night in Carlow.

A faster moving and more accurate Killkenny side were ahead at half-time 1-12 to 2-5, the Shels goals comming from Conor Byrne and Stephen Banville.Playing with the wind in the second half Dicksboro extended their lead with some fine point taking. The Shels, fielding a very young side, fought hard to haul themselves back into the match but could not peg back a very good side.
