Shelmaliers Vs.   Sarsfields

The Shels dominated this game from start to finish being fitter, faster and playing the better football. The Shels had a good blend of youth and experience with many of the young players who have won under age titles in recent years on display.
C.Tynan, P. Quill, D. Kelly and M.Kelly were totally dominant down the centre with S.Harding and Ciaran O’Shaughnessy excellent on the wings. S.Cash was very impressive when introduced for the injured E.Doyle scoring three excellent long range points.
The Shels were 1-5 to 0-0 by the 13th minute and Sarsfields got their first point after 14 minutes. But things were to get worse for the Sarsfields who conceded two further goals before half time. Half time score 3-6 to 0-3.
In the second half the game was already over as a contest and the Shels were only playing in second gear. The Sarsfields did up their game scoring 1-4 in this half. But the outcome was never in doubt with the final score 3-11 to 1-7
